Newcastle v Chelsea Foul Tips

It’s another battle for European spots in this tasty looking lunchtime treat between Newcastle and Chelsea. Villa’s impressive win yesterday has really put extra pressure on both these teams as they bid to secure Champions League football. It’s win at all costs and this almost always means delving in to the dark arts.

As we saw yesterday at Bournemouth, when the stakes are high, the fouls come pouring in. Therefore it seems that backing fouls is the sensible thing to do again.

Levi Colwill had a rare foulless day last week but I’m going to back him to return to his fouling ways in this tough trip to Newcastle, especially considerinf he’ll be facing the likes of Isak, Gordon, Murphy, Tonali and Barnes. Colwill has had 1+ fouls in 9/11 (82%) of recent games.

Since his return from injury I couldn’t help but notice that Nic Jackson’s foul stats have dramatically increased. In his 5 games since returning he’s had no fewer than 11 fouls, that’s an average of 2.2 per game. He’s also had the 1+ foul needed in 9/11 (82%) recent matches including each of his last 7 straight.

Considering that Levi Colwill has had 2+ fouls in 5/7 of his most recent games and Nic Jackson has had 2+ fouls in 3/5 of his most recent games, I can’t be turning down the 13/2 odds being offered for them both to get 2 or more again.
