The Irishman has been fouled in 5 straight matches and 9 of his last 10. He loves hitting the deck under contact and Arsenal have some decent foulers in attack. I predict it to be an Arsenal front 3 of Sterling, Trossard and Nwaneri. Trossard averages 1.13p90 whilst Sterling averages an impressive 2.66p90. We will likely see Merino off the bench and the Spaniard loves getting in about it.
Expecting Liam Delap to be up against Saliba here. The big man absolutely loves getting in about it, averaging 2.3 fouls p90. Saliba’s draws a foul every other game, and this selection landed in the reverse fixture.
As mentioned earlier, Sterling commits an impressive 2.66 fouls p90. Ben Johnson has been playing right wing, which has seen an uptick in his fouling numbers. He commits 1.63p90 and it’s a shame I think Myles Lewis-Skelly will be rested as this would’ve been a beautiful price.
I suspect Ben White to be matched up against Jack Clarke here, the young Englishman draws nice numbers and Ben White could be rusty with a lack of minutes.
